PJD Leader's Wife Caught in Adultery Scandal, Shocking Moroccan Political Circles

A few days ago, a story of adultery broke out, more precisely last Monday, in Ras El Ma, around Moulay Yaacoub. The daughter and wife of prominent members of Al Adl wal Ihssane and the PJD was caught in flagrante delicto of adultery by her husband within the conjugal home itself. She has three children. The newspaper Al Akhbar recounts the details.

As in almost all such stories, the husband returns home earlier than expected. The latter, aged 42, a merchant but also a PJD leader, was only supposed to return the next day, family business requiring his presence elsewhere. But he would have finally decided to return at dusk.

Arrived home, his wife, daughter of a leader of Al Adl wal Ihssane, looks strange. She is elegantly dressed and the table is set for special occasions. Another detail, and not the least: men’s shoes in the living room. And not those of the husband...

The search begins... When the husband reaches the bedroom (of course), the wife tries to prevent him. His sister would be sleeping there and would not be dressed in a way that her brother-in-law could see her. It doesn’t work. The husband insists. The sight that offers itself to him behind the door: a bearded, naked and... terrified man!

He was right to be afraid. The husband’s first reaction: to arm himself! Then, knife in hand, here he is attacking the sewing assistant, wounding him in the left arm. He is on the second floor. But the husband has a knife and is not joking. The craftsman does not hesitate long and jumps. A coffee tarpaulin cushions his fall. It’s time to flee.

But... he won’t be able to. The neighbors catch him. The gendarmerie is called and husband, wife and lover are arrested.

According to the same source, divorce proceedings would already have been initiated by the 29-year-old woman. But that will probably not change what she faces... Adultery is confirmed and therefore punished by the Moroccan Penal Code in its Article 489 which stipulates: "Any married person convicted of adultery shall be punished by imprisonment of one to two years. Prosecution is only brought on the complaint of the offended spouse."
