PJD Candidate’s Car Vandalized in Khemisset Ahead of Moroccan Parliamentary Elections

The Regional Secretariat of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) in the city of Khemisset condemned the attack on the vehicle of Taîbi El Hami, head of the party’s local list in the parliamentary elections in the Khemisset-Oulmés constituency. The incident took place in front of the party’s headquarters.
In a statement published on its official website, the PJD of Khemisset thanks the security forces for having quickly opened an investigation that will identify the person who carried out this attack and the reasons behind his act.
The Regional Secretariat of the PJD took the opportunity to warn against premature election campaigns and against corruption and vote buying in the city. It calls for the implementation of the joint circular of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of the Interior on the monitoring of elections, in particular to deal "with the required speed and firmness with all practices that undermine the smooth running, integrity and credibility of electoral operations such as premature campaigns, banquets and the distribution of money," the statement adds.
