Pharmaceutical Industry Tops Morocco's Highest-Paying Sectors, Study Finds

The pharmaceutical sector is considered the most lucrative in terms of salaries, according to a recent study by Diorh-Mercer.

Many young people, at the end of their training or already active, are trying to move towards the sectors that offer the best salaries.

The recent Diorh-Mercer study, published by L’économiste, sheds light on this concern. On the list of the best employers, we find the consumer goods, high-tech and pharmaceutical sectors.

Regarding the pharmaceutical sector, it is considered the best employer based on this study, both for employers, managers and operational employees.

According to the same study, these sectors thus offer salaries up to 28% higher than the median of the job market.

According to the same media, this ranking was established based on a survey covering 176 companies employing nearly 40,000 people and operating in 14 sectors.

The same survey finds that managers and executives in these three sectors are the most pampered. This is justified by the fact that, in these fields, skills are scarce and companies are forced to invest financial resources to recruit the best.

Regarding the professions, the same source reports that, according to the study, the "Sales & Marketing" and "IT" positions are the most lucrative, especially for executives and managers.

On the other hand, at the non-executive level, the publication reports that it is the engineering, logistics and finance professions that pay the best.

As for salaries, the comparison between 2018 and 2019 reveals that they have increased on average and the trend is not about to fade, as all the macroeconomic conditions are favorable: positive growth, strong public investment, low inflation, scarcity of skills.

From the study carried out, it appears that only non-executives, who benefited from the rise in salaries last year, are followed by executives and managers.
