Pelé’s Daughter Learns Moroccan Arabic During Rabat Visit

Kelly Cristina Nascimento, daughter of football legend Pelé, is a lover of Morocco, a country she still considers one of her favorite places in the world. Currently on a stay in the kingdom, she took the opportunity to learn darija.
Kelly Cristina Nascimento is having a good time in Morocco. She is taking advantage of her stay in Rabat to visit the various historical monuments of the city and discover Moroccan cuisine. On social networks, Pelé’s daughter has shared several photos and a video in which she learns darija with a tour guide.
"Bringing a little of that Brazilian effort to our Moroccan brothers. Let’s learn another language!!! Sorry if I accidentally insulted someone. I’ve always loved Morocco, I didn’t think I could fall in love with it more. Morocco has always been one of my favorite places in the world and I didn’t think I could love it more... alas, now I love it," she writes.
This has aroused the admiration of Moroccan Internet users. "In a month, you’ll master [darija]... You’re gifted at learning languages and seriously your accent is correct," commented a Moroccan Internet user on Instagram. Other Moroccan Internet users took the opportunity to express their love and respect for her father, who died on December 29, 2022 at the age of 82. Moreover, a vibrant tribute was also paid to King Pelé during the opening ceremony of the FIFA Club World Cup which took place from February 1 to 11, 2023 in Morocco.
