Pardoned Moroccan Hirak Activist Flees to Europe, Joining Exodus

An activist of the Rif Hirak named Mohamed Mekouh has just left Morocco, heading for Europe, after being arrested twice and once pardoned by King Mohammed VI.
Mohamed Mekouh would have set his sights on Europe after, last year, during Eid Al-Adha, benefiting from a pardon from King Mohammed VI. He would have left Morocco last Thursday, more precisely, according to the electronic site Rue20.com.
This kind of definitive departure to Europe is an option chosen by several other activists, including, according to the same source, "Nawal Benaïssa, Ashraf El Idrissi, Bilal Azzouz, and many others".
It should be noted that Mekouh was arrested for the second time by the police and then sentenced a second time by the courts (after being pardoned by the king last year) for acts of contempt of an agent in the exercise of his functions, violence against one of them, public drunkenness and drunk driving.
