Panama Futsal Team Arrives in Morocco for Friendly Matches Against Atlas Lions

The Panamanian futsal delegation will be in Morocco in a few hours to face the Atlas Lions in a friendly match. The matches are scheduled for Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31 on the pitch of the Mohammed VI Football Academy at 3:00 p.m.
The Panamanian delegation will set foot on Moroccan soil this Tuesday, January 26 at 3:35 p.m. local time, at Casablanca airport. It will then go to Rabat, specifically to the Ibis Rabat Agdal hotel where they will stay until their departure on February 5. It should be noted that before the trip, all members of the team underwent PCR tests which proved negative.
For the new Venezuelan coach José Botana of the Panamanian team, "the group is motivated and ready to show its potential". As for Claudio Goodridge, a winger on the team, he assures that "Panama, whatever its opponent, keeps its competitive spirit. And against Morocco, it will be no exception."
In 2012, Panama beat Morocco (8-3) as part of the first phase of the group matches of the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand.
The Atlas Lions won the African Futsal Cup of Nations for the second time in 2020, beating Egypt (5-0). That same year, they also won the International Futsal Tournament, beating the United States.
