Palm Springs Home Transformed into $3.5M Moroccan-Inspired Riad

In California, a unique two-story house transformed in part into a Moroccan riad in Palm Springs Home is a sight to behold for visitors. It’s worth a fortune.

$3.5 million. This is the price of a house similar to a Moroccan riad located in Palm Springs Home, California. This house had been built in the 1930s by Wallace Neff, reports Realtor.com. "It was one of the first desert houses to have a second floor. No one has ever had two floors," explains listing agent Sandra Quinn, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

In 1957, this house was partially transformed into a Moroccan riad.
"[...] The owners made it more Moorish and Moroccan. But there are several things in the house that you can see in the original 1930s photos, so it’s still the same house," Sandra Quinn further explains.

This 307 square meter house includes four bedrooms: two on the ground floor and two more on the second floor. "There’s one downstairs that’s kind of a little casita, and there’s a big red bathtub and the shower walls are cedar wood," the agent details. "If you never seal them, the wood stays perfect in there. It gets wet, and it dries. It’s really cool."

Both floors are equipped with full kitchens and the large second-floor living room is highlighted by a colorful tiled fireplace. This large living room opens onto a 112 square meter terrace. "There are incredible views overlooking the whole city above the palm trees," Quinn assures. The terrace on the other side overlooks the San Jacinto mountains and the beautiful pool.
