Overloaded Car Sparks Outrage on Italian Highway: Moroccan Driver’s Dangerous Journey Goes Viral

The oversized load of a car spotted on the A1 motorway, particularly in Genoa and at the port of the capital of Liguria, has surprised motorists. They have shared videos on TikTok and X. The reactions of internet users did not take long. Some comments are incredulous or even amused. Other internet users, on the other hand, have expressed their indignation at the driver’s obvious negligence and lack of consideration for road safety.

This car registered in the province of Reggio Calabria (Calabria, South) is clearly loaded to the brim both on its roof, in the trunk of the station wagon and inside the passenger compartment, reports the Italian daily La Stampa, adding that it would have traveled from the southern to the northern Boot up to Genoa, before boarding a ferry to an undetermined destination. The driver would be a Moroccan who would be on his way to join Morocco during these summer holidays. It remains to be seen whether he has been identified, apprehended or fined.
