Outrage in Morocco: Thousands Demand Death Penalty for Child’s Rapist and Killer

The death of little Adnane has sparked the anger of many Moroccans. Comments are pouring in from all sides. "This man must die. Please execute this man", "your executioner deserves the guillotine", comment Internet users. A petition has been launched on Facebook for the death penalty to be imposed on the alleged criminal of the teenager. Already, nearly 180,000 Internet users have subscribed to it.

The boy had disappeared under mysterious circumstances on September 7. 48 hours later, he was found dead and buried near his parents’ home in Tangier. Preliminary investigations reveal that the alleged murderer, a 24-year-old individual, took the victim to his apartment, a few steps from the family home, where he sexually assaulted, strangled and then buried him.
