Organic Buckwheat Flour Recalled Over Hallucinogenic Contamination Risk

The alert has just been given by the "Intermarché" chain. A batch of organic buckwheat flour has been contaminated by a toxic plant that can cause hallucinations. French consumers, as well as Moroccans, are therefore asked not to consume it.
The ongoing operation is worrying. Indeed, a batch of organic buckwheat flour, sold under the "Ma vie sans Gluten" brand, is being recalled by Intermarché stores, reports the newspaper Midi Libre. The flour, packaged in 400-gram bags, may be contaminated with hallucinogenic toxins (atropine and scopolamine).
The great concern is that these toxins can cause hallucinations, incoherent speech, confusion, spatial-temporal disorientation, pupil dilation or tachycardia, as specified by the DGCCRF on its website. Furthermore, these symptoms can lead to hospitalization.
The incriminated flour is produced in France and is also distributed in other countries such as Greece, Morocco, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and Vietnam. As for the products concerned, the same source points out that they bear the code 3456300003727 and the batch number SARB170419TNB, while their expiration date is May 2020.
People in possession of this product are already being asked to return it immediately to their point of sale for a refund of the purchase amount.
