Orange Money Launches International Money Transfer Service from France to Morocco

Orange Money Morocco now makes money transfers from France possible. The launch of this service took place on May 20, 2020, allowing Moroccans to transfer money from the hexagon.

Allowing Orange Money clients to receive money from their loved ones living in France, in real time and in a secure manner, via their mobile phones. This is the goal pursued by Orange Money Morocco, by proceeding on May 20 with the launch of this new exclusive international transfer service.

"By setting up international transfer, we want to offer our clients an alternative to traditional means of receiving money across borders," said Yves Gauthier, CEO of Orange Morocco. He specified that Moroccans will be able, from their phones, to receive money from their loved ones living in France at a lower cost, instantly, and securely.

On how the transfer works, Yves Gauthier explained that the Orange France customer will just need to top up their account by bank card or cash at a point of sale. They can then make the transfer directly from their mobile. To receive the transfer, the recipient in Morocco will just need to have an Orange Money account capped at 5,000 or 20,000 DH. A link intended for customers is available to allow them to increase the amount of their accounts capped at 5,000 DH.

This new service allows Moroccans to transfer and receive money, without having to travel, and therefore, to comply with the health measures taken to fight against the coronavirus.
