Nice Midfielder Sofiane Diop Weighs International Future: France, Morocco, or Senegal?

Current French youth international, Sofiane Diop is questioning which jersey to wear for his international career. In an interview, he expressed his difficulties in choosing between Morocco, France or Senegal.
At 22 years old, Diop currently plays for OGC Nice. On Nice Matin, he expressed his embarrassment, given his different origins.
"My father is Senegalese, my mother is Moroccan, and I was born in France. These are not the best conditions to make a choice when we’re talking about the World Cup champion, the semi-finalist of this World Cup and the African champion," he pointed out.
The young player explicitly stated that it is a difficult choice that he has not yet made, stressing that discussions are underway between the federations and his parents.
"The selection? I’ll make my decision next summer. We’re not immune to making different selections with my brothers (smiles)," said Diop, who says he is currently focusing on his club.
