Newly Opened Carrefour Store in Oujda Abruptly Shuts Down Amid Controversy

In Oujda, the Carrefour store in the Al Qods district has abruptly closed its doors just a week after its inauguration.
This sudden closure has taken the residents and merchants of the neighborhood by surprise, leaving doubts about the reasons for this hasty decision.
According to sources cited by Rue20, irregularities would have been noted during the construction of the building. "Part of the store was built on the bed of a wadi," says a source close to the file, which would constitute a flagrant violation of the urban planning laws in force.
Witnesses also report that construction defects, the precise nature of which has not been revealed, would have appeared a few days before the official opening of the store.
