Netflix Docuseries on Alexander the Great Filming in Morocco

The streaming platform Netflix is preparing a documentary series on the life of the former King of Macedonia, Alexander the Great, whose filming is taking place in Morocco.
Since last summer, a film crew for a documentary series titled Alexander-The Making of a God has set up shop in Morocco, reports the Deadline media. Directed by showrunner Tony Mitchell, who directed Grace and Goliath in 2018, this shoot should be completed by the end of spring. The production companies Lion Television and Tailfeather Productions are the producers.
Divided into six episodes of about 45 minutes, the series presents itself as a hybrid docudrama.
Alexander-The Making of a God looks back on the story of Alexander the Great (356 - 323 BC), the king of the ancient Greek city-state of Macedonia considered one of the greatest military commanders who ever lived. At 30, he creates one of the greatest empires in history, stretching from Greece to northwest India.
In the past, documentaries have been made on Alexander the Great. In 2004, there was the release of the film "Alexander", starring Colin Farrell and directed by Oliver Stone. In 2019, Netflix produced "Last Czars", a documentary series that traced the history of the Romanov family and the last Tsars of Russia before the overthrow of Nicholas II.
