Netanyahu Sparks Outrage in Morocco Over Map Excluding Western Sahara

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was, in a video message, making a few revelations about the telephone conversation he had with King Mohammed VI, he displayed a map of Morocco excluding the Moroccan Sahara. Enough to provoke the anger of Moroccans.
In this video message posted on his Twitter account, the senior Israeli official welcomed the conversation between the two personalities. "Part of the conversation was in Arabic, which I don’t master, then in Hebrew, in French which His Majesty speaks fluently, and in English, which I speak," said the Israeli Prime Minister. "But the most important thing was the warmth of the feelings," he continued.
While Netanyahu’s remarks did not provoke any controversy, the fact of seeing a map of Morocco not including the Moroccan Sahara annoyed many Moroccans. On the web, the comments are pouring in from all sides. "Your appearance with a divided map of the Kingdom of Morocco on the occasion of your telephone call with King Mohammed VI is a provocation for the Moroccan people and a lack of respect for the sovereign!" reacted an Internet user on Twitter. "Why is the map of Morocco divided in 2?" asks another Internet user.
Other Internet users shared the complete map of Morocco adopted by the United States after the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara and called on the Israeli Prime Minister to adopt it. This new official map includes the southern provinces.
