US Nears Deal to Sell Advanced SeaGuardian Drones to Morocco

The United States is currently negotiating the sale to Morocco of sophisticated SeaGuardian MQ-9B aerial drones manufactured by the company General Atomics.
These negotiations concern the sale of at least four sophisticated drones to Morocco, reports Reuters. Members of Congress are expected to approve this draft contract in the coming days. They would have already received a notification on Friday, December 11.
The four SeaGuardian MQ-9B drones manufactured by General Atomics - a defense and nuclear physics company based in California - have a range of 6,000 nautical miles (11,100 km) and could inspect vast expanses at sea and over the desert.
This agreement with the kingdom would be one of the first drone sales negotiated after the administration of President Donald Trump implemented its plan to sell more drones to foreign countries. The announcement of this project came on Thursday, the same day that US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Morocco had agreed to normalize their diplomatic relations and that the United States recognized the Moroccanness of the Sahara.
