Twenty days after the United States’ recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has adopted the full map of the kingdom, which takes into account the Moroccan Saharan provinces.
This map of Morocco extending from Tangier to Lagouira is available on the official website of the world’s most powerful political-military organization.
According to the US Ambassador to Morocco, David T. Fischer, his country has announced that it wants to take steps with its allies for the recognition of Morocco’s full rights over its Sahara.
Morocco obtained the status of a major non-NATO ally from the United States in early June 2004.
