Nador to Launch 1500-Hectare Free Trade Zone, Boosting Oriental Region’s Economy

The city of Nador will soon be equipped with a free trade zone, helping to drive a new dynamic in economic and industrial activity throughout the Oriental region.
The new zone will be built on an area of 1500 hectares and will see the construction of an industrial and port base, consisting of a large port and a commercial, industrial and logistics hub.
The objective is to transform the entire region economically and industrially, in order to generate a new dynamic throughout the Oriental region and promote employment for the region’s youth, the same source points out.
According to the officials, a first part of the project will be executed on an area of 600 hectares. It will be developed as soon as the Nador West Med port is inaugurated in 2024, it is specified. The technical studies for the realization of this first phase have been finalized, while the financial aspect is in the process of being set up.
