Nabilla Sparks Controversy with Reaction to Teen’s Anti-Islam Comments

Nabilla’s outburst on the Mila affair was analyzed by Patrick Cohen on the show "C à vous". While condemning the young woman’s remarks, the journalist had returned to Nabilla’s tweet which, according to him, was disproportionate.
Mila had made virulent remarks against Islam on social media. Remarks that sparked a flurry of reactions on the web, on television and even in political circles. Patrick Cohen condemned the criticism directed at Mila on television, but also Nabilla’s reaction, which he "vomited in a tweet" according to his words.
Nabilla’s response did not take long. "Dear journalists and critics, I did not vomit on this young woman but on her remarks which greatly hurt me, but also Muslims around the world. Let’s respect the beliefs of others, without making any value judgments. Let’s condemn any extremist act!", she wrote on her Twitter account.
The same day, Nabilla Vergara developed her point of view on Snapchat. "I don’t regret this tweet. This young woman’s remarks are sickening. I don’t know her, I’m not criticizing her, I’m just talking about the remarks she made. These remarks greatly hurt me and Muslims around the world." She stresses that we should never criticize the religion of others with hurtful remarks. "We are in France, in a secular country. We don’t criticize the religions of others. Whether we are Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, whether we believe in flowers, whether we don’t believe in God at all, we don’t criticize the beliefs of others. We leave people free, they have the right to believe in what they want," she continues.
Nevertheless, she assures that she "forgives without difficulty" the young Mila, to whom she gives the benefit of the doubt about the intentions that motivated her to write in these terms about Islam.
