Pakistan Minister’s Nazi Comparison Sparks Diplomatic Row with France

Pakistani Minister of Human Rights, Shireen Mazari, stated on Saturday that French President Emmanuel Macron "inflicts on Muslims what the Nazis inflicted on the Jews." Comments condemned by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"A member of the Pakistani government has spoken on social media in deeply shocking and insulting terms about the President of the Republic and our country," the French diplomacy lashed out. It demands that Pakistan rectify these remarks and find the path of a dialogue based on respect.
"Macron inflicts on Muslims what the Nazis inflicted on the Jews," the Pakistani minister said in a tweet. She also claimed that "Muslim children will have to have an identification number, just as Jews were forced to wear the yellow star on their clothes to be identified." The French government has formally denied this information.
France has incurred the wrath of Muslim countries, including Pakistan, after the republication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad by the weekly Charlie Hebdo and Emmanuel Macron’s remarks defending the right to publish these cartoons in the name of freedom of expression. Since then, protest demonstrations have been organized in this country.
