MRE: A ferry misses its maneuver and damages the port of Algeciras

The port of Algeciras (Cadiz), one of the favorites of Moroccans in Europe in transit to Morocco as part of the Marhaba Operation, was forced to block its activities at one of its four berths due to the collision of a ferry against its barriers.
The incident occurred on Thursday around 8:00 PM. A ferry from the Moroccan shipping company Africa Morocco Line (AML) connecting Cadiz to Tangier hit with its port side fin two of the defenses of the second berth of the passenger terminal of the port of Algeciras, reports EFE from a source of the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA).
The collision occurred as the vessel, 186 meters long and flying the Italian flag, was about to dock in Algeciras from Morocco. No human damage was recorded. On the other hand, the barriers of the berth were damaged, which blocked the activity of the terminal at that level.
Despite the incident, the rest of the day was able to proceed normally. The port of Algeciras has several berths to ensure the safe disembarkation of passengers.
