MRE, attention, chaos at the Sebta border

Activist Driss El Ouhabi has released images showing the extent of the blockage. He described the situation as a "real disaster", explaining that the chaos is directly the result of the blocking of the usual exits and the reduction of the available lanes. According to him, the stifling of traffic is due to the fact that only three lanes remained open to absorb the flow, trapping motorists for long hours.

A reorganization of traffic into six lanes

These disruptions are the consequence of the implementation of the work plan, which began with the lower part of the crossing, the area closest to the sea corresponding to the entrance from Morocco. During this phase, all traffic in both directions is diverted and concentrated towards the upper area.

This transit area has been reorganized into six lanes: three dedicated to the exit from Ceuta towards Morocco and three reserved for entry into the enclave. This temporary configuration will remain in effect until the completion of the first phase of the work, before the construction site shifts to the rehabilitation of the upper part.
