Motorist Hurls Racial Slurs at Brussels Police Officers of Moroccan Descent

Three police officers from the West Brussels area, two of whom are of Maghrebi origin, were the target of insults in Arabic, uttered by a motorist who called them traitors to the community.
Accustomed to being the scapegoats of passengers and motorists, the Molenbeek police officers, called upon to ensure the security of the 26th edition of the "Jogging foyer" celebration, were confronted with a particular individual on board an "Audi" vehicle, whom they had fined for using a mobile phone while driving.
This was enough for him to shower them with vulgar remarks, more precisely the two officers of Maghrebi origin. The motorist went further by hurling insults targeting their mother.
Meanwhile, the scene reported by the Belgian newspaper La Dernière Heure was filmed by Abdel, a Moroccan citizen, who was also shocked by the behavior and remarks of the motorist.
For the man who only recorded part of the scene for 29 seconds, everything started with the ticket issued to the motorist who, as in his country, expected to benefit from the generosity of his "brothers" in the community.
He then got angry, also reproaching the police officers for being jealous of his car that they could never afford.
The law enforcement officers showed professionalism, despite the flood of insults and threats: "The cops, all the same, all bastards, assholes. Come with me for a face-to-face, you’ll see what I’ll do to you..." They remained calm, preferring to fine him again for "insulting an officer, rebellion and discrimination based on community".
In his insults, the motorist went so far as to attack the profession of a police officer’s mother, as well as the most intimate foundations of the latter, by saying: "An Werrik chnou dine dyemmak". This is probably the worst insult.
Outraged by the motorist’s behavior, Abdel acknowledged that he would never have taken such a risk in the kingdom: "In Morocco, he would never have dared to say a quarter of a third before being dragged, pinned to the ground and handcuffed behind his back," reports the same media.
