Mother Fleeing with Protected Children Nabbed at Spanish-Moroccan Border

The Spanish police arrested a woman wanted by Belgium, as she was about to cross the border between Ceuta and Morocco, accompanied by her two minor children who were the subject of a protection measure.
The person in question was arrested on Saturday at the Tarajal border crossing, according to a statement from the police headquarters, specifying that this woman was the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by the Belgian authorities for a crime of abduction of the two minors who were the subject of a protection measure.
The Belgian authorities have been informed of the woman’s arrest. The defendant has been detained, at the disposal of the investigating court of Ceuta, which will transfer her file to the investigating court of Madrid, with a view to her extradition to Belgium.
