Morocco’s World Cup Squad Begins Arriving in Qatar for 2022 Tournament

The Moroccan delegation landed on Sunday evening in Qatar where it will take part in the 22nd edition of the football World Cup. Composed of seven players, this first group will be joined by the rest of the players, still engaged with their respective clubs.
Upon arrival, the Moroccan delegation was welcomed at the airport by the Moroccan ambassador to Doha, Mohamed Setri, according to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), adding that several members of the Moroccan community residing in the country visited the players at their place of residence, in order to support and encourage them in this competition.
The seven players already present in Doha are Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti, Yahya Attiatallah, Yahya Jabrane, Munir El Kajoui, Selim Amallah, Jaouad El Yamiq, Azzedine Ounahi. The delegation of the national team is led by Abdelmalek Abroune, member of the FRMF Executive Committee and head of delegation, the same source points out.
It should be recalled that in preparation for this competition, Morocco will face its Georgian counterpart in a friendly match next Thursday in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The match is scheduled for 8pm local time (5pm Moroccan time).
