Morocco’s World Cup Hopeful Ounahi Rejects Transfer Offers, Stays with Angers

Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi has chosen to stay in Ligue 1 with Angers Sporting Club de l’Ouest (SCO d’Angers). With his decision, the Moroccan player puts an end to the rumors that were announcing him on his way to other clubs.
Azzedine Ounahi is one of the Moroccan players coveted during the summer transfer window. But he has turned down all the offers made to him, preferring to continue with SCO d’Angers. The player himself confirmed his choice, explaining that he intends to establish himself as one of the best players on the team in order to give himself a chance of having a place in the Moroccan team for the 2022 World Cup.
"I have a different role compared to last season. I was a young National player who had to prove himself. Now I am a technical leader of the team, I have also taken on more responsibilities with the selection. I have to prove to everyone that I can take charge and live up to it. I discussed with the club, I have a lot of offers, but I will stay the whole season in Angers," the 22-year-old player told Ouest-France.
