Morocco’s World Cup Hero Munir Mohamedi Eyed by Lille and Osasuna

Moroccan international Munir Mohamedi, currently goalkeeper of Al Wahda in Saudi Arabia, could return to Europe this winter. After his performances at the 2022 World Cup, the second goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions would be the target of clubs such as Lille and Osasuna.
Munir Mohamedi brilliantly replaced Yassine Bounou in Morocco’s second match against Belgium at the World Cup, where he kept a clean sheet. This victory served as a trigger for the historic run of the Atlas Lions in the competition.
Since this performance, the 33-year-old player is being courted by the Ligue 1 club Lille and the Liga club Osasuna, who both wish to recruit him during the winter transfer window, reports the Saudi press.
Linked to the Al Wahda club until 2024, Mohamedi knows the Spanish championship well, having already played at Malaga where he received the Zamora trophy in La Liga Adelante, for having conceded the fewest goals in the second division championship.
