Morocco’s World Cup Dream Ends as France Wins 4-0 in Round of 16

The journey of the women’s national football team came to an end this Tuesday, August 8, after a 4-0 defeat in the round of 16 against France.
Despite the elimination, the Moroccans did not disappoint, having shown a combativeness that marked the competition and made headlines in the international press. The French goals were scored by Kadidiatou Diani (15th), Kenza Dali (20th) and Eugénie Le Sommer (23rd and 71st).
During the group stage, the Atlas Lionesses had an exceptional run, finishing ahead of the Germans, despite a defeat (6-0). Their victories against South Korea and Colombia, with a score of 1-0 each, show a team with a promising future. For their very first participation in the World Cup, Ghizlane Chebbak’s teammates have left a very good impression.
On the French side, the victory allows them to go to the semi-finals where they will face Australia, a team that eliminated Denmark (2-0).
