Morocco Women’s Team Holds Italy to Scoreless Draw in World Cup Warm-Up Match

The Moroccan women’s team and the Azzurra squad drew 0-0 on Saturday. After a fairly balanced first half, the Italian team, with Valentina Giacinti up front, tried everything to break the Moroccan lock, in vain.
Khadija Errmichi, the goalkeeper of the Lionesses of the Atlas, multiplied the exploits, notably repelling an opportunity from Giacinti in the second half. On the Moroccan side, Rosella Ayane and Fatima Tagnaout failed to pierce the opposing defense, despite several attempts.
The Moroccan selection, which is in group H of the 2023 Women’s World Cup with Germany, Colombia and South Korea, now has an appointment with Switzerland and Jamaica for two other friendly matches on July 5 and 16.
These matches will be an opportunity to fine-tune the final adjustments before the big world event scheduled from July 20 to August 20, 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.
