Morocco to Welcome Israeli Tourists as Direct Flights Launch July 25

The launch of direct flights between Israel and Morocco from Sunday, July 25 is taking shape. Professionals in the sector expect to welcome 50,000 Israeli tourists in the kingdom.
During the prospecting visit made to Ouarzazate on July 17 and 18, 2021 by Simon Haim Skira, founding president of the Israel-Morocco Friendship Association and the signing of a partnership agreement for the year 2021/2022 between Siham Rida, president of the provincial tourism council of Ouarzazate and Simon Haim Skira, it was announced that direct flights between Israel and Morocco will start on July 25. The two parties hope to welcome 50,000 Israeli tourists by the end of 2021 and 200,000 Israeli tourists each year. As for the professionals in the sector, they are betting on the reception of 300,000 Israeli tourists to regain financial health.
The Provincial Tourism Council (CPT) of Ouarzazate intends to welcome the educational tours and press trips proposed by the Israel-Morocco Friendship Association, according to an annual schedule set by the two parties, to work for the integration of the intangible Judaic heritage in the festivals and events it organizes, indicates a joint press release. It has also undertaken to integrate in its communication and promotion media all the elements highlighting the Judaic heritage in coordination with the Israel-Morocco Friendship Association.
The association’s mission is to make Ouarzazate known to the Moroccan community in Israel, estimated at 800,000 people, in particular by inserting information on the region in all communication media. It also intends to carry out promotional communication with travel agencies and tour operators in Israel and send invitations to the CPT to carry out prospecting trips to Israel and facilitate its participation in fairs, trade shows, workshops, and road shows that would be organized or co-organized by the association.
The two parties have also decided to set up a committee to ensure the monitoring and reporting on the progress of the projects.
