Morocco-US Virtual Summit Aims to Boost Digital Economy in Western Sahara Regions

At the initiative of the Moroccan-American network, a virtual economic summit will be held on Monday, March 29. American economists and investors will participate in this webinar, the objective of which is to study the modalities for setting up viable economic partnerships for the benefit of the Laayoune Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla Oued-Eddahab regions.
The Moroccans participating in this virtual summit will benefit from American expertise in the field of digital economy, particularly artificial intelligence. The objective of this meeting is to strengthen the capacities of local economic actors (small and medium-sized enterprises) in the regions of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla Oued-Eddahab in the field of digital transformation in order to help them cope with the adverse effects of the health crisis.
Participants will also receive practical information on digital marketing in order to modernize their businesses through digital tools and set up a database for the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises in the two regions.
In line with the objectives of the Network, Moroccan and American investors will have the opportunity to share their experiences in order to contribute to stimulating local investment in Morocco, and mainly in the southern regions, especially after the American recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara.
This summit, which is part of the implementation of the Network’s annual work plan, will be broadcast live on social networks via the Morocco21 platform.
