Morocco’s Vehicle Tax Revenue Jumps 8% to 3.7 Billion Dirhams in 2021

In 2021, revenue from the vehicle sticker reached 3.7 billion dirhams, up 8% from a year earlier, according to the Directorate General of Taxes.
This revenue was achieved 97% through the partner network, compared to 95% in 2020, thus bringing the achievements at the tax administration counters down to 3%, instead of 5% the previous year, indicates the annual activity report of the DGI, quoted by Les Inspirations Eco.
In order to interact with the taxpayers’ grievances, the department processed all the requests received in the "TSAV" complaint box, i.e. a total of 3,404 complaints on legal or technical issues. They are divided, depending on the channel of transmission, between electronic complaints (1,355), postal complaints (788), physical receptions (742) and telephone complaints (519).
Furthermore, the DGI reports that corporate income tax (CIT) expenditures reached 401 million dirhams (MDH), down 27% from 2020, while personal income tax (PIT) refunds achieved 262% of the 2021 Finance Act forecasts, up 91%.
