Morocco Urges Doctors to Follow COVID-19 Treatment Protocol as Cases Rise

Faced with the increasingly worrying epidemiological situation, Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb instructed the regional Health Directors on Monday on the need for practitioners to strictly comply with the Covid-19 therapeutic treatment protocol, including the prescription of Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin.
In a note, the minister reminded these regional representatives that, as part of the national response strategy against the pandemic, it is essential for clinicians to strictly comply with this protocol for patients whose symptoms date back less than a week.
The ministry also asked to ensure the organization of the care pathway and the drug management system at the level of all provinces and prefectures, and to ensure continuous monitoring, both of their knowledge and their compliance by health professionals.
