Morocco Urges Continued COVID Vigilance Despite Improving Indicators

To avoid a relapse of the epidemiological situation related to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health has recommended that Moroccans maintain preventive measures and continue to take booster doses of the vaccine.
Although Morocco is experiencing a significant improvement in all indicators with control of the epidemiological situation, Moroccans must absolutely continue to comply with the preventive measures still in force, the Health Department said.
"The end of the Omicron wave does not mean the end of the pandemic," it warned, adding that at the present time, the possible emergence of worrying variants on an international scale is still a possibility, at a time when the World Health Organization considers the pandemic to be a global health emergency.
Thus, to achieve a rapid return to normal life, the ministry recommended, in addition to preventive gestures, booster vaccine doses, which are the only way to protect people, particularly the elderly and those suffering from lack of immunity and chronic diseases.
