Morocco Urges Businesses to Join National Effort Against Coronavirus Spread

Faced with the scale of the coronavirus epidemic, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, and the Ministry of Labor and Professional Integration are calling on companies and production units to contribute to the national effort to mitigate its repercussions.
Certainly, the government’s ban on public gatherings of more than 50 people does not concern companies and production units, regardless of their size and the number of their employees. But the latter are called upon to contribute to the national effort to mitigate the repercussions of this virus, say the two ministries in a joint press release.
The two ministries stressed the need to respect the prevention and precautionary measures in the workplace and work spaces. They thus call on companies, production units and employees to comply with all health recommendations and advice, in particular by providing sufficient hygiene products for all employees and in all work spaces and by ensuring the continuous cleaning of workplaces using disinfectants (bleach).
Specifically, the two ministries also recommend that employees wash their hands regularly with soap and water and cover their mouths and noses with a tissue or elbow in case of sneezing or coughing.
The permanent monitoring cells set up by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy and the Ministry of Labor and Professional Integration, as well as the regional and provincial directorates of the two ministries - depending on their competences - remain available to companies and production units to support them and provide them with more information.
