Morocco Updates COVID-19 Protocol to Streamline Treatment and Reduce Hospital Strain

In order to reduce treatment time and decongest the health centers that are too solicited and to offer better health care conditions to other patients, the Ministry of Health has updated the care protocol for people infected with coronavirus.
This is a leaflet addressed to the directors of university hospital centers. The protocol recommends the systematic management of any potential infected cases by the virus, without waiting for virological confirmation or the result of the "PCR" test. The opposite only increases the risk of potential health complications for the patient and the high probability of his death, and the wait contributes to the spread of the virus.
The instructions are clear: mild symptomatic cases will be followed at home. For probable cases, treatment will begin after clinical examination and without waiting for the PCR test result.
Also in the category of suspected cases, any person with a temperature above 38 degrees, unless the high temperature is caused by other obvious health reasons; people suffering from an acute respiratory infection requiring hospitalization.
Probable cases include all those who have had contact with a probable or positive person for Covid-19, in connection with an identified infectious focus, a health professional practicing in a hospital or a laboratory responsible for medical analysis and pandemic screening, not to mention any person suddenly presenting a loss of smell or taste.
