Morocco Unveils New Tourism Strategy to Revitalize Sector

The revival of the tourism sector is a major concern at the Ministry of Tourism. To succeed in this mission, the new Minister Nadia Fettah intends to focus her actions on the revitalization of mixed sectors and financing.
Nadia Fettah, the new Minister of Tourism, intends to breathe new dynamism into the sector. Inscribed in a new approach, she intends to focus on her action plan. The content of this plan is as follows: the overhaul of the development approach of the Azur plan stations, the revitalization of mixed sectors and concessional financing. These main points are in particular the levers on which Nadia Fettah wants to rely to relaunch Moroccan tourism, reports L’Economiste.
But before all this, she intends to launch her reforms by "supporting and improving the product". This will be done by "activating tourism investment. Here in particular, the new minister will spare no effort to provide financial and technical support to public and private investment projects. "Support will be provided to SMEs wishing to invest in the field, particularly in entertainment," Fettah has also promised, and she has also expressed her interest in "activating guarantee funds and revitalizing bank financing, to develop investment in tourism".
According to L’Economiste, the beach offer will be completely overhauled. To this end, Nadia Fettah will notably "strengthen Agadir, revitalize the Essaouira Mogador station", without forgetting the emerging centers like Moulay Bousselham and Oualidia.
To all this is added, according to the same source, the promotion of cultural tourism, through the continued support and accompaniment of programs to enhance the value of the medinas and the rest of the scheduled cities.
