Morocco Unveils Stadium Lineup for 2030 FIFA World Cup Co-Hosting Bid

Morocco will present to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) the list of its stadiums to host the 2030 World Cup matches that it is co-organizing with Spain and Portugal.
The presidents of the football federations of the three host countries of the 2030 World Cup will hold a meeting at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland with the president of the institution, Gianni Infantino, to present the list of their respective stadiums to host the matches of the international competition, says a source to Al-Akhbar.
Morocco has proposed the Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat (53,000 seats), the stadiums of Tangier (68,000 seats), Marrakech (60,000 seats), Fez and Agadir (50,000 seats), as well as the Grand Stadium of Casablanca, under construction in Benslimane (93,000 seats). This last stadium should host seven matches, against six for the Moulay Abdellah sports complex, five respectively for the stadiums of Tangier and Marrakech and four for the stadium of Agadir, specifies the same source.
For its part, Spain is in talks with FIFA to validate the stadiums of Gijón and Zaragoza which would not meet the standards. If not, the Spanish authorities would be forced to propose two new stadiums to replace them. The 2030 World Cup will be co-hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal. Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will host the first three matches of the competition as part of the celebration of its centenary.
