Morocco Unveils Plan to Repatriate 32,000 Citizens Stranded Abroad Since March

The government would have already put in place the repatriation plan for the 32,000 Moroccans, stranded abroad since the closure of Moroccan borders last March.
Several factors have been taken into consideration in the development of this program. These include the geographical proximity of the countries and the concentration of Moroccan nationals by region.
To this end, the government will first proceed with the repatriation of citizens stranded in Algeria, then in Turkey, due to their large number. Moroccan nationals in other regions of the world will be able to return to Morocco just after the arrival of their compatriots in Spain, France and Italy.
More than 32,000 Moroccans stranded abroad are awaiting the green light from the Moroccan authorities to join their families in Morocco. One thing is certain, their return is indeed planned on the government’s agenda, without specifying a date.
