Morocco Unveils Modern Rabat-Agdal Railway Station Ahead of High-Speed Rail Launch

The new Rabat-Agdal station was inaugurated last November by King Mohammed VI just before the launch of the high-speed line (LGV - Al Boraq).
On its YouTube page, the National Railway Office (ONCF) has posted several videos of new stations and those still under construction, such as the one in Rabat-Ville. The first video in the series is that of Rabat-Agdal.
To recall, 800 million dirhams were invested by the State to build this new station which has a new passenger building (23,000 m²), outdoor facilities (70,000 m² including 12,000 m² for the esplanade), as well as a parking lot of 800 spaces on an area of 34,000 m².
This new station, inaugurated at the same time as the new high-speed line (LGV) Tangier-Casablanca, has six 400m long platforms and ten tracks. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility and also has large halls, boarding lounges, a food court and its multiple catering brands.
The Rabat-Agdal station is one of the four stations inaugurated to accompany the commissioning of high-speed trains, namely Tangier-Ville, Kenitra and Casa-Voyageurs.
