Morocco Unveils Ambitious Plan to Eliminate AIDS by 2030

Morocco wants to eradicate the AIDS virus by 2030, thanks to its national strategic plan, which takes into account all epidemic diseases until 2023.
Taking advantage of the International AIDS Day, celebrated on December 1 each year, the Moroccan authorities have recalled the various actions taken against this deadly disease.
According to the Ministry of Health, awareness campaigns have been organized to prevent the risk of its dangers. In this regard, Morocco has launched the National Strategic Plan (PSN) 2017-2021, to which is added the extension for the fight against AIDS until 2023, which constitutes the national framework for action in the fight against this pandemic, the ministry said.
This plan reflects Morocco’s commitments in terms of achieving the goals of the 2016 United Nations Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS, and the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, it stressed, adding that it aims to integrate a larger number of beneficiaries in order to reduce gender-related inequalities, promote human rights and equity in access to HIV services.
Recall that the UN adopted in June the 2021 Political Declaration on HIV and AIDS to "end inequalities and put ourselves on the path to ending AIDS by 2030".
