Morocco Unveils Ambitious Infrastructure Projects for 2021, Including Dakhla-Atlantique Port

In addition to the continuation of ongoing projects, Morocco wants to implement major projects this year 2021. These projects will change the face of the kingdom.
The Dakhla-Atlantique port is one of the major projects that Morocco intends to implement this year. This project will ensure the connection of the new port of Nador West Med under construction with the motorway network for an envelope of 4.5 billion DH. ONCF will invest more than 1.6 billion DH for the acquisition of rolling stock.
2021 will see the launch of the construction work of 5 major dams in the regions of Marrakech-Safi, Casablanca-Settat, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Souss Massa and the Oriental. This project is part of the national program for the supply of drinking water and irrigation. Other projects: tripling of the Tit Mellil-Berrechid and Guercif-Nador axes, new Casa City Shoes industrial zone.
On the private sector side, the British company Emmerson Plc plans to build a $400 million potash plant in Africa in Khemisset.
