Morocco Travel Specialist Sangho Suspends Operations Amid Financial Struggles

Without financial guarantee since January 31, 2022, the travel agency Sanghol, specialist in Tunisia and Morocco, had to suspend its activities.
Like any travel agency, Sangho, specialist in Tunisia and Morocco, was severely affected by the health crisis related to Covid-19, marked by the closure of air borders. According to the register of travel and stay operators, established by Atout France, Sangho no longer had a financial guarantee as of January 31, 2022 and has not been authorized to practice the profession of travel operator since February 3, reports L’Écho touristique. As a result, its founder Hosni Djemmali was forced to suspend its activities.
The travel agency is also struggling to reopen its hotels. "Our hotels have been closed for two years, explains Hosni Djemmali. Having closed establishments, it’s a disaster, especially when they are by the sea. We have to undertake major work." The Sangho Marrakech will reopen before 2024, after its renovation. As for the three hotels that Sangho owns in Tunisia, they too will be renovated and will reopen in 2023.
