Morocco’s Tiznit-Dakhla Expressway Nears Completion, 94% of Work Finished

The Tiznit–Dakhla expressway is in its completion phase. The level of work execution has already reached 94%.
The work on the expressway connecting Tiznit and Dakhla is progressing at a good pace. Apart from the work that is continuing in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region due to certain technical difficulties, the bulk of the work is completed. This is the case for the work on the section between Tiznit and Guelmim, at a cost of 2.1 billion dirhams, and that on the section between Guelmim and Tan-Tan, at a cost of around 1.8 billion dirhams.
On this last axis, three of the five planned bridges have been built and the work on the remaining two is underway. As for the work on the axis connecting Tan-Tan to Tarfaya, at a cost of 1.83 billion dirhams, it is also progressing at a sustained pace and will be completed on time. The Tiznit-Dakhla expressway is a royal project aimed at connecting the north and south of Morocco and connecting the kingdom to the hinterland countries. It should be put into service in the course of 2024.
