Morocco Tightens Regulations on Urban Underpass Construction Projects

In a circular, the ministry announced that from now on, any project to build this infrastructure by the municipalities will be subject to prerequisites. The objective is to frame the construction of this means found to respond to the problem of traffic in peri-urban areas.
Thus, any initiation and programming of underpass projects can only take place if they are formally planned, studied and consulted within the framework of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), the note indicates.
The ministry also specifies that the launch of these projects is necessarily conditional on the validation of the services of the central administration.
