Morocco’s Tendrara Gas Liquefaction Project Faces Potential Delay Due to COVID-19

The British company Sound Energy has announced that its natural gas liquefaction project in Tendrara would be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in Morocco.
"We are facing an unprecedented social and market situation following the emergence of COVID-19; this increases the risk of delay in the implementation of the company’s small-scale LNG strategy," Sound Energy said in its quarterly activity report.
The company states that COVID-19 has not yet had any impact on its activities. But it believes that the prolongation of the health crisis could delay its plan to raise additional funds for the development of the Tendrara concession. Sound Energy plans to make the final decision to invest or not in this facility during the second quarter.
