Morocco’s Tanger Med Port Sees 11% Revenue Surge, Handles 84 Million Tons of Cargo

At the end of last September, Tanger Med Port Authority (TMPA) posted a gross turnover of more than 2.35 billion dirhams, up 11% compared to the same period last year.
In total, the port handled 84 million tons of goods at the end of September, while 28 million tons were handled during the third quarter of the year, according to the results unveiled by TMPA.
Regarding the investments made, they reached 544 million dirhams, mainly for infrastructure, roads, various networks and IT infrastructure, the Port Authority specifies.
Finally, the consolidated debt reached 10.1 billion dirhams at the end of 2021, including 5 billion dirhams in bond loans, compared to the end of 2021.
