Morocco in Talks to Host First African Formula 1 Grand Prix Since 1993

Moroccan Formula 1 fans will surely be delighted. This type of race could make a comeback in Morocco, more specifically in Marrakech.
Discussions are currently underway according to commercial director Sean Bratches. In a message posted yesterday on Twitter, the BBC channel talks about this eventuality while putting the usual question mark: "Is F1 on its way to Morocco? The country is in discussions to host the first Grand Prix in Africa since 1993, according to commercial director Sean Bratches."
The city of Marrakech has been hosting the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) for a few years now and rumors had already circulated about the kingdom’s desire to venture into Formula 1.
The older among us must surely remember that Morocco had already hosted this prestigious race. It was in 1958 and it took place in Casablanca. Since then, no such race has taken place in Morocco. It might be time to revive it.
