Morocco Takes Lead in MBC5 Maghreb Channel Production, Outpacing Regional Rivals

Morocco is well positioned on MBC5, a new satellite channel that will be launched in the very near future. It has prevailed over its neighbors, Algeria and Tunisia, in the production of the channel’s programs.
The MBC Group has bet on Morocco for the launch of its MBC5 channel, exclusively dedicated to the Maghreb countries. The Kingdom appears to be its production base. To this end, the Saudis have prepared a grid exclusively with productions made by Moroccan companies.
Supported by local brands from Saudi Arabia, the Moroccan companies are crushing the Tunisian and Algerian companies that offer quality services and programs, laments the Algerian newspaper l’Expression.
The Moroccans are thus in charge of several programs. Many Moroccan singers and actresses like Badia Senhaji, Maha Boukhari, Maria Nadim and Soukaina Darabile will work on the program "Asrar Nissae". Moroccan popular music star Najat Aâtabou will host the social-entertainment program "Jalassat maâ Najat". As for the young Moroccan comedians Driss and Mehdi, they will highlight the time of comedy "Dar Darkoum", produced by the Moroccan company GoPro. The MBC group in collaboration with the star Khaled will present the variety program "Khaled wa hbabou". The humorous show "Kheli balek men Fifi" featured in the program grid has been entrusted to Moroccans.
The Moroccans have ultimately achieved a feat that will give more visibility to the Kingdom and will certainly generate significant financial resources, the newspaper also writes.
