Morocco Suspends Flights from UK, Germany, Netherlands; TUI Cancels Trips

The travel and tourism agency, TUI, has announced the cancellation of its flights to Marrakech and Agadir, after the suspension of flights from Morocco.
The decision of Morocco to suspend air links with Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will harm several families in England and Wales who have already booked their holidays in the kingdom.
"The Moroccan government has notified us of a change in regulations that affects flights from the UK to Morocco from October 21. As a result, we have unfortunately had to cancel flights to Marrakech and Agadir until October 31, 2021 inclusive," TUI announced, stating that nearly 2,000 vacationers will thus be stranded on Moroccan territory.

"We are contacting customers in order of departure date to discuss their options, which include modification to another destination or a full refund," the tour operator added.
Travelers wishing to go to Morocco, despite the ban on direct flights with the United Kingdom, will however be able to go through Spain and France, the British Foreign Office said on Wednesday.
